  1. Somehow, I suspect that in Putrid’s Russia, the Geneva Convention is given lip service at best. They might speak of the matter, saying one thing - while communicating something like “only fools actually try to follow that tripe, and such fools do not live here, hail Putrid!” Note that in “the great patriotic war,” the Soviets did not follow it, because (I think) they never signed it. Addendum: they did sign/ratify in 1954. In 2019, however, Putrid rejected a portion of it. The original post, a supposition on my part, still sounds very plausible.

  3. I can give one possible insight - coming from growing up disabled, in an abusive home. I’m still unlearning that crap 40+ years on. They might well grow up effectively “brainwashed,” not knowing anything different, and only having ONE source of information. It’s easy to become heavily indoctrinated then. It happened to me.

I might be able to supply a (small) portion of the answer as to how one can be “intelligent” and educated, and yet “buy” such obvious propaganda: If you are severely brutalized from early childhood - frankly, severely abused; in my case, over a decade - it can do some very bad things to how you think in every area of life. This is especially true if one is also substantially disabled. Were I able to do the things most “Normal” people seem to be able to do in the social world, I’d be an absolute sociopath. As it is, I routinely expect the people around me to prey upon me in a ruthless and relentless fashion, up to including assault and attempted murder.

  5. You are taught to not-think, under Authoritarianism. Thinking is reserved for those of a higher rank. Your job is - ostensibly - to do what they tell you. Your real job is to make them happy by giving them that worship they are due. You are also taught that only your betters matter. You are a tool, to accomplish their goals. If you cannot serve your betters to their satisfaction, you deserve to be punished. The only way to climb in the organization is to become psychopathic, and then do psychopathic things. You will be admired then. Not doing so is the act of a fool and worse. I get to live with this accursed thinking every day. I wish I could quit it, but it’s been pounded into me too deeply.
