He's a Zionist who supports the Likud and Netanyahu and flat-out refuses to criticize them, he supports ethnic profiling based on "whoever looks Muslim" (i.e. brown person), supports the Iraq War and drone warfare, supports torture and indefinite detention, and he views "The Bell Curve" as cutting-edge science that libruls in the science world are suppressing. How the fuck is that shit NOT racist, imperialist, authoritarian and bigoted? It's gonna take some SERIOUS mental gymnastics to say it isn't.

  2. He's a lousy scholar when it comes to Religion and Spirituality. He's obviously not trained in those subjects and any religious scholar worth their salt can point out problems with his eschatology, anthropology, hermeneutics, etc. He's masterful at explaining religion if you think r/atheism stuff from 15 year olds is "deep". There are way better atheist intellectuals. He's a prime example of why scientists should stay in their lane. If you want an authoritative atheist or nonreligious examination of Religion, a better authority is Bart Ehrmann.
