  9. At this point a certain segment of self-proclaimed "Progressives/Leftists" (mostly types who are HA Goodman and Sane Progressive fans) seem to be going off the rails. I think your channel is full of those types and that's why you're getting this negative feedback. The type of so-called Progressives who are attacking Justice Democrats and Our Revolution nonstop. The type of people who now don't like Bernie and call him a "sellout" and a "sheepdog" and are now abandoning or coming after Tulsi too. At this point, I think these people are less so Progressives or Leftists and more so just Anti-Democrats. They're nursing a white-hot grudge/vendetta/hate-boner for the DNC and the Democratic Party in general to the point where it's less about being Progressive and just about opposing the Democratic Party no matter what. They just take the opposite stance of whatever the stance the Democrats have on an issue out of spite and hatred. They hate or distrust anyone and everyone who refuses to leave the Democratic Party and wants to take it over instead of going 3rd Party. You have to #DemExit like they did or you're a sellout. Since the corporate Democrats are latching onto this Russia stuff, they oppose it simply because the corporate Democrats are attracted to it. That and because they believe if there's any truth to Trump colluding with Russia or Putin that somehow also means Wikileaks is evil and Hillary was cheated. While that's certainly what a lot of corporate Democrats are hoping for, two things can be true simultaneously: It can simultaneously be true that Wikileaks is not a Russian agent and Russia didn't cause Democrats to lose the Election; and that Trump is colluding with Russia to get sanctions lifted for them in exchange for Russian oligarchs hooking Trump Enterprises up with lucrative deals. Both can be true simultaneously and the Anti-Democrats seem to miss that. They think if ANY part of the "Trump-Russia" stuff is true it must be interpreted that the "Russia-Wikileaks caused the Democrats to lose" BS must also be accepted as true. That, or they simply don't want the corporate Democrats to be even partly correct about ANYTHING. Hence why they twist themselves into logical pretzels and call you a "TYT drone" and ironically end up defending Trump. Mike, do yourself a favor and ignore these people. They're not Progressives anymore, they're just Anti-Democrats. They'll defend Trump and claim he's totally innocent if that's what it takes to spite or oppose the Democrats. You, Kyle and others are trying to help Progressives rise. They're simply still smarting over the rigging of the Primaries and the knifing of Bernie (which I completely understand their anger), but they've become obsessed with it and let the anger turn into a hatred that's consumed them. It's become an obsessive, all-consuming hates that causes them to lash out at and hate Bernie and now Tulsi (because she recently expressed concern about Trump's Russia ties) and anyone and everyone who wants to take over the Democratic Party rather than live to spend all day every day cursing the Democratic Party and opposing anything a Democrat says or does out of spite. They're Captain Ahab hunting Moby Dick, and like Ahab they'd rather go down to the last struggling with the Democratic Party, from Hell's heart stabbing at it and use their last breath spitting at it over the Primaries instead of taking it over or using it. Expect Tim Black and Hard Bastard to also accuse you of "selling out". Some of these #DemExit folks see any opinion other than "Trump is completely innocent and John Podesta made it all up out of whole cloth, everyone in the world is simply lying on Trump for Hillary's sake" as a mark that you're a corporate Democrat. Even an opinion like "I'm not convinced of collusion but I agree he should be investigated and seems like he may not be telling the whole truth".

  31. Amazin69 - 1) You're talking as if Parties have never changed before. The Democrats are not always the way they've been now. They've changed ideologies 3 times in their history, they can do it again. This isn't just about winning 2020 and 2024, this is about making the Democratic Party the social democratic party it used to be from 1935-1985. 2) Look how the Greens did this time. They've been around for decades already. If with all the Progressive energy and the record unfavorability of Trump and Hillary they couldn't get more than 1% of the popular vote, they're not going to magically gain 60-75,000,000 new voters between now and 2020. They only got around 4,000,000 this time. The Greens have almost no infrastructure, no state-level offices held, no state Party funding apertures, no voter mobilization organizations, they get no ads or airtime and no presence on debate stages. Having all these things helps. LIKE A LOT. That's why Bernie was able to rise so quickly, because he could exploit already-existing Democratic Party mass infrastructure in situ and Media to spread his message. Along with a very Internet-savvy team. Jill was crippled by lacking this infrastructure, not being able to participate in debates and having no adspace. Unless you think Bernie was just that much better of a politician than Jill that he got nearly 4x more votes. Jill and Ajamu's town halls and Internet responses to the debates had a small fraction of the views the national TV debates got. Growing a Party from scratch is a long and arduous process. You don't go from 0 to half the country in just 4 years starting from nothing. Look at any industrialized country. No dominant Party rose to prominence in just 1 or 2 election cycles unless they're a split-off group of a previously existing major party (like the Justice Democrats). On average it takes 10-25 years for parties to start from scratch and become a major national party. The Republicans didn't win a national Election until almost 20 years after the fall of the Whigs. The far-right UKIP in the UK and the National Front took almost 30 years to get to the level they're at now. You're being unrealistic, quite frankly, if you think it'll take less than 10 years for the Greens to become a national party on the level of the Democrats and Republicans. They need to get above 15% approval just to be allowed on debate stages. 15x better than they did last year. You need to convince tens of millions of people to switch their current affiliations in the next 24-48 months. Even with all the chaos last year, only about 20 million or so changed their affiliation.

  43. Yep. I noticed the Establishment Media went into attack mode against Bernie a couple of weeks ago after he enjoyed a honeymoon period for a while since November 2016 when Hillary disappeared. I know exactly why: because Hillary tried to reemerge and was promptly advised to go away by mainstream news outlets. At the same time, poll after poll showed Bernie is the most popular politician in America by an order of magnitude and far more popular than the rest of the Democratic Party, and far more popular than Trump and the Republican Party. That's when the attacks started back up from Hillary-aligned Democrats and media sources (like Daily Banter, The Root, Washington Post, Salon, Slate) and why Trump-aligned media outlets suddenly started attacking Bernie out of nowhere. They're pissed off that Bernie is more popular than their idols (Hillary and Trump) and that he's more popular than the Establishment of both parties, nay, the most popular politician in America PERIOD. That absolutely burns the ass of corporate America and their representatives in both Party Establishments. They can't stand it. They know this is shaping up to be VERY good prospects for a Bernie 2020 run and they're preemptively trying to kill it by trying to sour public opinion against him. He's a major threat to Trump's reelection and Bernie is a major threat to a 2020 Joe Biden, Andrew Cuomo, Kirsten Gillibrand or Corey Booker run. Bernie's current numbers virtually guarantee a Hillary 2020 run will be doomed and won't make it past the Primaries. Thankfully, the attacks aren't working. Polls show Bernie's approval rating is STILL going up. Just like his own approval ratings during the Primaries last year and Trump's approval ratings during the Primaries, the more the Establishment attacks him the more his approval rises. Since Trump IS the Establishment now, the Establishment attacking him doesn't make his approval go up anymore. That's a problem for him and that makes his supporters jealous of Bernie. Trump's supporters are attacking Bernie because they're jealous he's still seen as an outsider while Trump isn't.

  49. @BillyBowlster - You're right, even though they claim to be "Leftists" they essentially might as well be alt-Right because, like the alt-Right, they believe all the world's problems begin and end with the Democratic Party and anti-Trump Republicans. If you notice, a large portion of Sane Progressive, HA Goodman, Tim Black and Hard Bastard's subscribers and comment sections are comprised of alt-Right Trump supporters because they share the same viewpoint (Democrats are responsible for all problems in the world) and they almost always end up defending Trump. They keep declaring that Trump is completely innocent and almost everything negative about Trump are all just pure lies made up by the MSM, Podesta and Clinton/Obama agents, or they constantly deflect with "Well, Democrats did [X]!!!" Look at their channels. Almost no videos criticizing the Republicans or Trump, all just endless complaing about the Democratic Party and putting 100% of the blame for America's problems on the Dems. They're not Progressives, they're just out for blood and revenge against the Democratic Party because of the fucked-up 2016 Democratic Primary and want a pound of flesh from all American voters who haven't #DemExited. They're just Anti-Democrats, not Leftists. Hence why they often end up just being de facto Trump apologists. They are to Progressivism what Marvel Comics' "The Punisher" is to justice: not truly an agent for Justice or Good, just a vigilante completely consumed by hatred and revenge who simply kills anything even vaguely related to his topic of obsession (Crime or Criminals). Not to make the world a better place, just out of an obsession with personal revenge for what criminals did to him and his family. Likewise, they're not trying to help left-wing causes, they just want sweet, black revenge and political boodshed from Democrats for the Primaries and will turn on anyone and everyone not serving that end. Even the guy they were supposedly originally avenging (Bernie) because he's not consumed with hate and revenge like they are.
