  1. 1) Ruby Rhod was awesome. Actually found his character funny and likable. 2) Anakin wasn't THAT bad. The main problem was Lucas' shitty writing. Christensen is a capable actor if you've seen him in other movies. 3) SO glad someone else found Dakota Fanning's character in "War of the Worlds" fucking annoying with her constantly screaming and giving them away. But Justin Chatwin's character in "War of the Worlds" was FAR more annoying. All he did was frown, bitch about Tom Cruise's character not being with their mom anymore, get himself into trouble that almost got Cruise's character killed more than once, get angry at the aliens and suggest fighting them (how the FUCK are they supposed to do that if they have no weapons and the military can't even beat them?). Chatwin's character chastises Cruise's character for running from alien attacks instead of staying and fighting, not seeming to realize Cruise has no weapons, the aliens can vaporize people instantly, and have force fields that shields them from all human weapons. >__< The second-to-last time we see Chatwin he runs off headlong into an alien attack like a dumbass just because he was angry and wanted to somehow get back at the aliens. He annoyingly survive unscathed (SOMEHOW) at the end of the movie. Fuck that character.

  2. Getting drunk, aside from reducing your sexual performance, is also an excuse date rapists use. A lot of guys are just buzzed but take advantage of women who are shit-faced drunk and can't even form a coherent sentence or tell what's going on. Then they use the old "But we were both drunk!" excuse when the woman realizes in horror what happened while she was albeit unconscious. I've seen it before. The date rapist equivocates and acts like him being tipsy but basically able to still drive is equal to a woman who is so drunk she can't move unassisted and he had to carry to the bedroom.

  3. Definitely. Leo scared me in that movie with how well he was able to play a deranged villain who smugly feels justified in his depravity and sociopathy. If he can convincingly pull off a character with that kind of a mindset (and he knocked it out of the ballpark in "Django") he can definitely do Roman Sionis.  Anyone who can gleefully cheer, hoot and laugh while he forces slaves to beat each other to death with their bare hands or sick dogs on a scared runaway slave and make the dogs eat him alive can probably do a guy who tortured a woman (the female Robin Samantha Brown) to death (possibly in a sexual or crypto-sexual manner too) with a power drill and eviscerated Catwoman's brother-in-law to death and made her sister eat some of the pieces. ....After going over some of their crimes it just reminded me again what fucked up characters these people are. Jesus....

  5. Seriously. Batman is one of my favorite DC superheroes but he HAS become very overrated. He's the Wolverine of DC Comics. They've gotten to the point where they just have Batman be the savior in other character's comics and storylines and have Batman defeat everyone of note (even friggin Dracula, WTF?). DC and Marvel just need to have some retcon where every character in the DC and Marvel universes turn out to have secretly been clones of Bruce Wayne and Wolverine all along all these decades. That should satisfy their hard-on for these 2 characters.

  6. @Dan Sanger - Not just the Muslim world, it's a huge problem in the 3rd World in general. It's just as bad in India and South Africa. Patriarchy is just significantly weakened and more subtle in the West, but hasn't totally gone away. Just like racism isn't gone in Canada, just not as bad as in the US. Maybe in a few more generations we may finally reach true Egalitarianism in the West.

He's actually not very far off from modern early 21st century celebrity gossip TV hosts. Like Wendy Williams and people on Extra! and TMZ. Give it another 10-30 years and people EXACTLY like Ruby Rhod will start popping up. Won't have to wait until the era The Fifth element takes place in.
