@nativeoutdoors1780 Because their race was a factor in why the police departments didn't really care much. Racism is a social problem that still plagues a lot of society and people suffer for it. Like these women did. Pretending that racism doesn't exist or that no one is racist is dishonest, harmful and unhealthy. We can't address a problem by pretending it's not happening. Just like a guy with a drinking problem will never get better by refusing to admit he drinks too much.

@jasonli4961 Breonna Taylor's boyfriend was not a criminal, that was her ex-boyfriend. Even if her current boyfriend was a criminal that is not an excuse for opening fire into a residence. Now I see you're the type of person who defends police brutality against black people.

@jasonli4961 It depends. Many racists do not care about class. Being wealthy doesn't make a lot of racists stop viewing the person as inferior, because racism is based in the belief there's something inherently different about them that makes them less than. There are tons of examples of upper-middle class and wealthy black people being harassed by racist cops. The cops only stopped when they were made aware the black person had wealth or power because the cops realized that black person had the resources to make the department pay.
