I'm black and Obama didn't really do anything for the black community other than just be a symbol that it's possible for a person with African ancestry to become POTUS. That's it. So I would argue that Lincoln and LBJ did more for the black community than Obama. Lincoln passed the 13th Amendment and Emancipation, beat the CSA, and ended slavery. LBJ and JFK passed Great Society and The New Frontier. FDR also passed The New Deal which greatly helped the black community. Truman too with the Fair Deal and desegregation of the US Armed Forces and extension of the G.I. Bill to African-Americans, which helped build the black middle-class after the Civil Rights Movement.
