I love how Peterson and the alt-Right act like Marxism is some foreign import or foreign invention separate from the vaunted "Western Civilization and intellectual tradition" they always bang on about. Marx and Engels are basically as much a part of Western intellectual tradition and civilization as Adam Smith and David Ricardo. Hell, half of Europe based its government and society on its interpretation of Marx for 75 years (Soviet Union) and Marx is responsible for a lot of Western Europe, Oceania and North America's infrastructure since the 1910s and 20s.

  3. Sam Harris fans do THE EXACT SAME GODDAMN THING. Every single time he says something extremist, untenable, far-right, loony, immoral or just plain stupid or incorrect his fans scream "OUT OF CONTEEEEEEEEEEXT!!!!" or "See, what he really meant was...." Jordan Peterson is just the new Sam Harris or Richard Dawkins. For a mostly atheist or irreligious group, these fanclubs sure do tend to worship inerrant, infalliable Messiahs a lot. It's almost like worship and veneration is a hardwired feature of the Human brain, belief in God or not!
