  1. Look at what polls of the Tea Party shows their members believe and the general atmosphere of the party. Is it a surprise that a white supremacist endorses the movement? The Birther movement which is a sub-current of the Tea Party has a lot of obvious racists and xenophobes. So does the "Schooler" movement and the "Racism is dead except for 'Reverse Racism'" crowd.
