  1. China wants the Russian economy to implode. Then China will set it's sights on spliting up east Russian break away regions. China wants a foothold on the Arctic and Russian natural resources. Best way is to let Russian exhaust it's efforts in the Ukraine and then pick up the pieces for themselves.
