  1. Do not vote purely on the basis of race or gender. Keep in mind that neo-liberal corporate democrats ultimately do not support policies which benefit working people and the middle class. They will always do the bidding of their masters: big business, big banks, and big pharma. Today's Democratic Party no longer resembles the one that we had during the 70's and 80's. So, I refuse to swear loyalty to any political party and prefer to remain an independent free thinker whose vote is based on actions and policy.
