Wow. Marie's build is great. It is amazing how much she has incorporated in her tiny van. Did she say what the dimensions of the van's box was?

Only the food delivery services will benefit. If you got laid off but do not have a vehicle you cant deliver food.

There are legitimate panhandlers- those who trying to survive and basically have nothing. Then there theives looking for easy money. A common scam years ago was someone without a car claiming they need gas money to get home. How do you leave home without money to buy gas to get home?

@kathystevens8163 If you type: You Tube Incredible Tiny Homes, his channel will pop up.

many nomads have chosen a Prius.

That is horrible. Could those states then classify vanlifers as homeless, therefore criminalize vanlifers lifestyle.

Without supplement one can get charged a lot of money for co-pays along with out of pocket for tests and procedures. @autobotdiva9268

I enjoyed your quick view of your compound. Your studio looks nice-appears larger than a 12x12. I think the windows help with that.

I did a social security withdrawal, as I am entitled to per the law, as long as I do it in the first 12 months. I was quoted a 4- 6 week turn around. It took 13 months!

Carol, did email Tim Low in Sales last night. He said ITH does not have any waiting lists. Tim also mentioned sometimes homes are sold with a space lease. The only available is a Birmingham in the Forest. Most like a $100k investment would that be an ADNNA ( apartment dwellers need not apply.)?

Carol, your point about a failing power grid coupled with many electric vehicles is well taken. A point I do not believe the environmentalists have considered. My take, though, is what is the end plan for nomads in the 60-80 year old range. Do they even have a backup plan when they can no longer drive? In 12, 15, 20 years will they, assuming they are still around, be able to drive any vehicle. Younger nomads will more likely than older nomads have to deal with electric or hybrid vehicles should they wish to continue their nomad existence.

Yes. I think those older lots had $6,000 key money whereas, the new ones are possibly $20,000 and up. I actually prefer the older lots that are not in the woods.

That GM was doing a bad "Billy Flynn" from Chicago. You know doing a quick soft-shoe shuffle. You caught him lying and he tried to BS his way. He could have checked their records and would have seen your many visits without incident. But, by doing that he would back himself in a corner for over charging you. Maybe contact the local TV news' investigative reporter to shine some light on that particular Marriot Resort unjust business practices.

Carol, when you say there isxa $2,000 savings limit are you referencing SSDI only? I have my name on a few senior apts and they are HUD subsidized . I have been told the rent is 30% of your income. No savings limit. Upon further queries I have learned that there is a .06% adjustment towards income against savings accounts. If you have $100,000 in savings that equates to an extra $60 (100,00 x .0006.) The $60 would be added to your 30%. Also, there is the accrued interest on CD's to be aded onto your rent. I realize many seniors do not have much, if any in savings. I only mention those totals for renting with HUD properties. I am 65 and currently pay $414 for Medicare, supplemental, dental and pharmacy. My sweatheart deal if living rent free( my employer pays) ends at year end so I think I will be in for a huge rental shock. Please keep up the good work informing us.

@tammieparrishmiller3669 Yes I am expecting cold weather, but I grew up in cold weather in New England. Although it has been a long time since I froze . The company I work for-Express Pros, provides free housing (Hotel) as long as I work for their client -Digikey. I expect to work all the way through next April. Excellent pay, no housing expense, good deal in my view. As for that video, if you type in: You Tube Slim Potato head Dani, it is the first video which comes up. I don't know if Dani mentioned it but there is a guy in Indiana named Charles Moman who used to have 2 different Runaways. He and his wife have filmed a dozen or so videos on Runaways. My favorites are the Runaway Rally which Runaway hosts every February where Charles interviews runaway owners and asked them about additions that they put in their campers. Great food for thought. Other than that I get most of my build-out ideas from having watched Bob Wells' Cheap RVLiving site for the past 5-6 years. It has been great talking with you also and rather than chew up Glorious Life on Wheels space here if you want to ask me any more questions or something you want to pass on you can always email me at Dleigh2010@gmail.com. May that awful STL humidity evade you. Take care. David

Tammie Parrish Miller Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you. And I agree Bob W is a true hero.

A little off topic but related to provider fraud what happens when the gvt fines provider or health care company fraudulent billing? The finesxare passed along to the consumer ( patient). It will never stop until provider leadership isxsent to prison for felony theft.

@carmenwheatley7316 25% limit used to be the usuary limit but finance companies' lobbyists paid off congress to place loopholes so they could exceed those limits.

Carol. Yes I called the other day. They are open.

I would call evonomic jealousy if you live frugally, irresponcible consumets hatecthatvyou dont have debt, yet they dont have the courage to live nomadicaly. For their lack of courage they attack those living well.

clever idea to flip the home depot cabinet on its side.

If she was a nurse in a poor southern state vs. a large city like L.A. Boston, or NYC ,etc. there would be a huge difference is wages.

In other words never buy on credit.
1
Ridiculous. If you can live below your means and are poor, you are someone society should look up. As far as living a vehicle I still believe many in society are uncomfortable with you. They think you are homeless beggar, a druggie, or a criminal looking to rob someone. Those types live in sticks and bricks too.
