  1. Hi Carol, I am a big advocate for car/SUV campers to include a tent. With the tent you can sleep in your vehicle for safety and set up a kitchen and lounge area in the tent. Regarding low-income seniors being forced out that is becoming common place. I still have my name in a low-income apartment rental in the Southeast which has gone from $550/mth to $725 a month. I am told it will be another 2 years before an opening happens. Factor in electrical bills, Medicare, food and the basic cost will be well over $1,000. Costs keep rising.   2. Yes Carol, that is true. With Mobile Home Parks, the biggest negative are that corporations are buying up parks and gouging the residents.i believe Florida has a law that the lot rents can only increase a small percentage each year- 4% perhaps. But the loophole is that when a corporation buys a park they can set the initial rate very high. On theory one could pay $400 for lot and a corporation can set a new price at $1,000 or more.
