  1. Terry and I are the same age. Regarding his working life, not to be harsh but if you work with your body age catches up to you. If your work abuses your back, knees, or feet, unless you have a sedentary job such as office work or computer-based work in an office or remotely as we get older, we cannot keep up. The larger point regarding Terry, who seems like a genuinely nice man who deserves better, the landlord greed is growing beyond sustainability. What are people to do: spend all their savings in 2-3 years be left to live the street until one passes?

  2. I once rented from a couple who owned a small construction company and the wife who managed their rentals wanted to know if one had 401k monies. She flat out told she was entitled to that. I said no! You are only entitled to a fair market rate. She was a special type of a jerk.
