  1. Afghanistan ceased to exist when the Afghani government took their money and ran like children away from the Taliban. 20 years and they couldn't vanquish the Taliban. Now it's Taliban Land, they can rule and do what ever they want, they are a sovereign nation unto itself, they need to deal with their societies problems, famine, disease, apathy, ... without Western Intervention, if they want help they need to beg on the Saudis or China.
