  1. there's a lot of stuff that the Bible says is okay, that we don't think is very socially acceptable today.....enslavement, stoning, selling your offspring, .... frankly most religious texts were drawn up too long ago to be effective in today's world. there are some good parts, don't kill each other and be kind to one another, the ''do unto others as you would have them do unto you'' seems to get a miss a lot, but it's pretty much the one thing you CAN take away from all those pages of drivel in all three Torah, Bible and Quran. What Goes Around Comes Around....and that lesson is thousands of years older than any of those three texts put together. I live by 'do unto others' and I seem to be living a good life. I'm going to keep doing it. Peace Be With You All.
