  1. lava and smoke, also known as a pyroclastic flow. it's gas, ash and heat boiling out from the volcano, not just lava and smoke. you rarely get ''smoke' from a volcano, it's usually gasses and water vapor, you only usually see smoke if the lava has rolled over something that is burning beneath.
