  2. the idea of parents monitoring their children is completely foreign to me. my mom worked, we had house keys, during the summer once a week she would dump us on the high street with a few pennies and return after work to pick us up. we never got kidnapped we never got in trouble for stealing or vandalism. otherwise, we were out the door after breakfast and didn't return until dinner at sundown. thing about kids, if you break one or it quits working all together, you can always make another one or there are plenty of ready mades available in your local orphanages.
