  1. my first cat I had as an adult changed everything about me, it became about him, to be sure he had food and a safe home, so I kept a job and set up house and found someone that taught me more about life in his 13 year than I had learned in all my 37. Love my Budd. Miss Him still

  2. here in Denver, our pond just outside my dining room windows provides water and safe habitat for a lot of birds, we have bullfinches that winter over in the bamboo, song birds in migration stop in, we used to have a pair of ducks until we had to net the pond to keep raccoons and heron from taking the fish, squirrels, rabbits, foxes, skunks, coyote, all stop by.

  3. out front we have drought tolerant flowering plants and grasses for the bees and humming birds, crab apple trees that make the best preserves and jelly, it's all very magnolia chocolate box here in Urban Denver.

  5. Living with Wildlife is Wonderful. A bullfinch wintered over in our bamboo outside our dining room 3 years ago, then he brought a mate, and now there's 4 this year, and they don't just winter over, we had an owl winter over this year, no rodents just squirrels, the daily drama is real, I don't have pets, don't need 'em.

  6. I had a troupe of squirrels that would stop by in the morning for walnut communion. I had to be away for a few days and apparently our house sitter didn't keep up the proper schedule because I came home to potted plant destruction. they're still wild animals, and if frustrated they will act out, just like a Trump Troglodyte.
