  1. The F-35 has always been a beta fighter jet rife with problems and broken promises. Why didn't the Canadian air force instead buy the F-16 Falcon single engine (14.5 to 19 million dollars each) or the F-18 Hornet twin engine (29 to 57 million dollars each). You could have more fighter jets for a lot less going that route.
