They also got the idea that they could get away with this behavior by the USA doing so, so few want to know about the death camps the USA ran in the Western Territories, and even as late as the early 19th century in the Philippines, wide scale medical experimentation up and though WWII in Puerto Rico, etc.

  32. Also, perhaps Russian needed to leave some of those troops in the Far East because the US was not that far from becoming a fascist State itself. Roosevelt was only able to keep in power by the skin of his teeth for the first few years. The Russians have had a long history with the US interfering, for Roosevelt's cousin Teddy having given Korea to Japan as a sweetener to offset Russian power, and then working with the Japanese to invade Eastern Russia, particularly Vladivostok, it's not inconceivable that a fascist leading us would take the opportunity to link up with Germany and Japan to put the Bolshevik Revolution to the sword. Practically what the u.s. did after the war anyways.

  42.  @Edax_Royeaux  V2 was a copy of the Doctor Robert Goddard's Rockets made in the USA in the 1930s. Von Braun said they basically upscaled the patents. Dr. Goddard was a consultant to the military and they reach the same conclusion that you mentioned. There was no way to make the Rockets accurate enough to be fit for purpose.
