  1. They should not name their library "Effect". I can't help but think they are trying to sabotage the recent success of Algebraic Effects. They should call their library Maybe++.

  3.  @anony_09123  When kids are playing soccer they have the right to pretend to be Barcelona themselves. When toy-language "Typescript" is playing with types, it has the right to pretend to have an Effect System itself. My comment is that it is the epitome of self-unawareness for Typescript, which is a laughably inadequate typed language, to think of itself as so important as to have a library called simply "Effect", as if Typescript really respected academic research instead of going its own way and doing its own theory which makes it unacceptable as a functional language. TL;DR: I can put some Lego pieces together and call the result a "bridge" just like Typescript can put some code together and call the result "an Effect library". We both can dream of one day becoming adequate. Imagine a tiny, peaceful little poodle dog called "Angry Bear, the Destroyer". Its name has nothing to do with its ability. Just like the name of the library "Effects" has nothing to do with Typescripts' functional appropriateness.
