I am an API developer. Invidious is NOT an "API client" of Youtube. That whole letter is moot on that point. If they were an API client of Youtube, Youtube could simply disable Invidious' API key. They don't, because there's no API key, because they're not their clients. As I write this you just said this same thing on your video so well done!

The FTC is waiting for your call. They won't move an inch if you don't bother them.

@FlabbyTabby If small businesses could get together, they wouldn't need to sue Visa, they could simply make their own credit card.
7
What amazes me about statists is that they expect government workers to work for them.
5
@watamatafoyu I think it's a case of know-it-all lawyers saying "well even if they scrape your website they are indirectly using your API" but they are missing the point that no contract was ever agreed to in the case of scraping.

It is not designed to make a profit now, and that is the problem. If it were for profit, they would not be tolerating any turnstile jumping. Duh.
4
@middleagebrotips3454 No one is going to write a client app that multiple different people will use, and share an anonymous access API key, as again, Youtube could simply cancel that API key. Scraping is unbeatable so why would they not do it?
3
@Bobmcjoepants The MTA does receive subsidies from the city and state. Hence, not for profit. How can Switzerland have free transit? They don't have the kind of human animals we have, who cannot appreciate free things.
3
Elon is in the business of selling cars. If you don't go to the office you don't need a car.
2
@BeetleBuns No, stores and bars that provide "public accommodation" should still be able to ban anyone they want.
2
@tonnentonie2767 That is the only other option, also known as scraping, spidering, among other names.

10:00 - this point is correct. The corroboration is every programming language - they all suck and they all have raving fans that trick ever more people into learning them. The hype does the job. There's no need to lie.
1
What is the ethnicity breakdown in corporate office landlords, hm? Any he brews there?
1
Women don't report their rapists - you should not feel it is your duty to fight against NYS.
1
I understand your side, but you should try to understand the steelman argument side of Apple: first, they are not initiating aggression, hence it is not justifiable to use monopoly violence on them to stop them from doing it; second, they are trying to keep their name associated with a "just works" experience, and if they allow too many refurbished macs on the market, with quality they can no longer control but still bearing their brand, this dilutes their brand.

"It will be to train their dealers to be better liars." Why oh why are manly man listening to sales people? I'm a man and i don't listen to emotions, charisma nor social harmony attempts. Who buys products from a company that invests on lying sales people with charisma and harmony in booths? This is so feminine, I can't believe farmers actually are talking to booth people.
1
Let's all become plumbers otherwise we're all immoral! lol
1
Hey Louis, why are farmers going to booths to talk to sales people? Aren't farmers manly enough to realize any company that needs charisma to sell their products isn't paying enough attention to their products? I'm a man and there's no way some sales person is going to be taken seriously by me because I know everyone is out to get me and only I am looking out for myself. Why don't farmers just stop buying from charisma-makers and harmony-seekers and instead start buying their products from manly companies that just sell their stuff and let you do whatever with it? Obviously John Deere is a very feminine company, all about charisma and harmony and sales booths... What man on Earth cannot see through this charade? Good quality companies don't have time to hire charisma-man-on-sales-booth, they spend all their time making parts. Like men do. Not advertising like women do, for women.

Louis is not posting about "injustices", he is posting about people who happen to be manufacturers and having the choice of how to make their product offending them with their freedom.
1
6:00 - "it's just that, that dude didn't patent it" - Is that really how it works? What about prior art? Wouldn't that mean you cannot patent something that already has been made even if not patented?
1
@AuRowe Every dragon in Dragon's Den refuses an unpatented product with existing prior art. Those people are millionaires.
1
Louis, please bring a Libertarian on your show to debate your silly ideas of forcing manufacturers to do what you want. Otherwise it's just a channel of an old, crazy man crying.
1
Louis, not only does it make no sense to have coders drive to work, but it also makes no sense to "code user interfaces" (they can be built by dragging and dropping without having to pay expensive programmers), and yet all companies hire "front-end (user interface) programmers". Unfortunately there are too many irrational people in charge of things in this industry.
1
4:20 - "because their lives suck" is not a counter-argument.
1
Louis, I like your channel, but it's not a bunch of gentiles being stubborn about their office real estate rental prices...
1
It's funny watching a Jay, Ee, double you, realize everything that gent isles have already realized.
1
"A person bought a cat product that killed their cat." It's Amazon's fault! "A person bought a product that killed their child." They should have done more research. So it's only for cats that it's the store's fault? Just looking for consistence here.
1
@SirReptitious Actually I am not underestimating it. I could code that entire system in a month. It is not really that hard and there is not much to it. Discover did it the bloated way. Most software in the industry is bloated, hence your perception. But I know how to avoid that trap.
1
If it were up to Louis, there would be no Apple Store, only trashy app stores like the ones for Android.
1
@Bobmcjoepants If the revenue isn't going to pay their expenses then they are NOT for profit, because no investor would invest on a company with a plan to not make money. The fact the MTA has to step OUTSIDE the free market to get money from the government makes it not for profit. You can only be for profit if you are 100% within the free market. If you step outside and get one cent from the government you are now controlled by that state.
1
@Bobmcjoepants It depends what is in their contract with their shareholders. Capitalism is about contracts. If they all agree to not be for profit and be for helping people then that's what it is.
1
@himedo1512 Exactly.
