  4.  @eliasadam2345  Yees, the Portuguese-British alliance is the longest standing worldwide - the Windsor Treaty. And according to Olalde et al. (2019), the Portuguese are the most genetically British people in Iberia, having 60% England_Middle-Bronze-Age autosomal genetic material. So maybe this alliance is not only for strategical and political reasons but also due to a common recognition of shared ancestry on each other.
