  4. ​ @uuuuNB strict laws regarding old media were only implemented so the government could decide which propaganda they propagate. I hardly think regulating internet forums would be a good idea. Of course this is currently happening in the EU and I can guarantee you the outcome. Now if we were te develop, lets say a European political discussion board, with open source software of course, that requires an id check, where any citizen with the proper identification could voice their concerns, and vote on issues that Parliament is bound to review, then we would have a complete disaster on our hands because our governments would completely fall apart under the slightest scrutiny and transparency. And we can't have that.

The entire website is designed as a self-censorship program where only the most commonly held hivemind opinion is allowed and everything else gets downvoted so hard you wont see it and people who go against the politically correct narrative get banned. In a lot of subs if you get a bunch of downvotes you are automatically no longer allowed to post. And yes, it being infested with 85 iq Americans does not help.

  26.  @uuuuNB  Well, here in the Netherlands every time I read a newspaper or watch the news on public broadcast it is comical how obviously theyre just copying the views of the ruling political parties with large bias. Even supposedly left leaning newspapers that have existed for more than 100 years are just blatantly spouting right wing economic talking points about how giving people better wages is bad for the economy because it increases inflation. Thats a good one. And doing interviews with former secret service agents saying stuff like "if you dont have anything to hide, you have nothing to fear from dragnet internet surveillance" lmao. The only journalists that can be trusted are ones who are working against the system, in online crowdfunded independent media.
