  1. The hieroglyph for time pretty obviously seems to represent a wheel, or more metaphorically, a circle. With either nailheads or smaller entities within it. In most anceint cultures time was considered to be circular, an infinite repeat of the same events. It could also represent fases of the moon at the same time, but the symbolism of it seems very clear to me.
