  1. In the Netherlands a lot of people love extremely spicy food. You can buy very hot peppers imported or grown in greenhouses like Carolina reaper or Scorpion peppers, there is hot sauce everywhere. I have in my cupboard, tabasco, sriracha sauce, sambal, chili peppers, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce my brother makes from Scorpion peppers which is very spicy. Because of our colonial history wit Indonesia and Suriname, peppers and spicy food have been part of our cuisine for a long time.
