i was at a bar a few months ago with some friends to watch a football game. got some nice seats in front of the tv. after the game started, 2 college girls walked in, sat down at the chairs under the tv, center of attention. there mustve been a hundred dudes in the place and maybe 5 of them brought a girl along. no one approached them. they sat there for about an hour and a half. didnt order a single drink. looking increasingly miserable. then they got up and left. it was a pretty decent game. had a fun evening.

My dad told me a fun story a couple years ago. He was a work event, which he very rarely goes to. Told a woman she looked nice. She immediately thought he was hitting on her and a bunch of collegues commented on it too. My dad is almost 60, and has been in a committed relationship with a woman for over 20 years, after my mom divorced him. People are completely insane. Apparently these days, even if a man twice your age tells you you look nice, at a work party, thats a no-no. What chance do I stand?
