Its still not that bad, just work for smaller companies that dont do these idiotic things and you can work in an efficient organization where people are hired based on merit and actually have some input to how the business is run as well. Just need to avoid directly working for larger companies. As a contractor its fine as well, as long as youre not on their direct payroll you dont count towards the quota...

To be honest, you probably shouldnt have moved to the US if you wanted to be treated fairly. If you went to university you can get a job in any western european country and enjoy a better standard of living.

Apply for some engineering jobs in Europe. Scandinavia, Netherlands, Germany, were all having a huge shortage of qualified engineers and discriminatory hiring practices are illegal here. Some companies try to do it every once in a while, then they get sued in the European Court for Human Rights and they have to hire men again.

Theyve been trying this stuff in the EU as well, fortunately we have these things called "human rights" which our governments legally recognize and anyone that does this get sued in the European Court for Human Rights and then they have to drop their preferential hiring practices or risk getting heavily fined or closed down. Discrimination based on race or gender is not allowed.

@martinsaunders7925 Dont forget about that trillion euro oil fund, in a country with like 6 million people, thats their retirement bought and paid for by the govt. Youd have to be pretty nuts to leave Norway for any reason. Well, besides the feminists, a trip abroad to find a wife wouldnt hurt.

One of the reasons I went into engineering. The amount of women in my program at uni was about 5 to 100 men. If a company I work for starts to promote too many unqualified women to senior or mgmt positions, I quit and find a new job. I already pay enough taxes, im not subsidizing their salaries as well.

I had this when I was trying to help my male cousin to find a job. He has years of retail experience and a first aid certification. There were like 20 places around town advertising they needed personnel. Nearly all of them told me they were looking to hire women.

Oh its burning all right, its getting up to a nice comfortable temperature already and the engines just got fired up. Stock up on firewood, water purification tablets, protein powder and vitamin pills. Oh and buy a nice german gas mask while youre at it.
