@donglegs you seem to think marriage is about being happy. tough pill to swallow: its not. being married is about having children. duty and sacrifice to raise the next generation of people. and the duty to stick it out because you want to give them a stable home and raise them properly. do you think my grandparents were always happy? of course not. but they were married for 55 years and im now living a decent life in the house my mother inherited from them because they stuck together. i pay the bills for my grandmothers care home now that she has severe dementia and its not safe for her to be alone and needs professional care 24/7, by paying my family rent for this house. thats what marriage is for.

@donglegs "it seems to me that people who've resigned themselves to life and vowed to make the best of a situation wouls be unlikely to say theyre dissatisfied". okay, i hate to be the one to tell you this, but thats what "until death do us part" and "in sickness and in health" etc etc means. no fault divorce is one of the leading causes of the current dating and marriage market, and until it is revoked a lot of men are not going to take the risk.

@donglegs its not conservative rhetoric lol. im a socialist. im quite the opposite of a conservative on anything, be it social, economic or political. just because i say casual s3x is bad for social bonds between human beings doesnt make me a conservative. it just makes me a person with a brain who can observe cause and effect. we have 50 years of data on womens lib at this point. what does it cause? downward trend in birthrates, upward trend in loneliness for men and women, upward trend in single mothers, upward trend in antidepressant use and mental health issues for men and women. this isnt a conservative talking point. its a social problem that goes beyond which political ideology you ascribe to.

Im probably around the top 1% income bracket now. I dont sleep around because I can. I dont need people to tell me not to. I dont want it and I dont do it. Why waste my time porking random women and wasting my best years on meaningless casual s3x. Im looking for someone to start a family with. Women that put out automatically dont qualify for that. @donglegs there has been statistical research on this. women that sleep with multiple men have higher chances of cheating, being unhappy in marriage, and divorcing. it goes up from 0 to about 5 previous partners and then the curve goes flat. the scientific conclusion from this is that the best body count for a woman is 0 and after 5 you should avoid any commitment to them.

@donglegs any graph of empirical data is going to have outliers. anyone that studied statistics in college can tell you that. the overall line of the graph is still upwards for divorce from 0 previous partners. this means the best chance for men to not get divorced is to marry a virgin, or failing that because its basically impossible these days, marrying the lowest body count woman you can find. also note these graphs youre looking at are only about divorce rates. now go look up the graphs for infidelity and unhappiness in marriage. same trend. as an engineer i unfortunately follow the data and the data says to look for a woman that can keep her legs together. im sorry but thats just what it is. i wish we lived in a world where people can all screw whoever they want without any consequences but it aint this one. it has effects on men too. i have a body count of 3 and the next one is going to be the one i marry. i wish it was lower but i made it to 29 without giving in and no woman would have me in the years before that. or since, for that matter, i just tried sleeping around for one month and i didnt like it much.

@donglegs the issue with people having s3x outside of marriage is that it is another thing that disincentivizes men to marry, besides the divorce laws. why get married when you can sleep with tons of women and even find plenty that will have children outside of wedlock with several different men? these women then extract child support and keep the father out of the kids life, the kis grows up fatherless and has less opportunities in life. children that grow up without a father are more likely to drop out of school, morw likely to end up in jail and more likely to self delete. on top of that, in the long term, its not possible to maintain a society with a birth rate of 1.6 children per woman, which ia what all this strong and independent i dont need no man boss babe nonsense has resulted in. the entire west is headed for societal collapse.

@donglegs as for not being able to go back to my older comments, im trying my hardest to word things so they wont get flagged by the algo but the censorship on this platform against any opinion that big tech doesnt like is crazy. and its in big techs interest to keep people lonely so they consume more content and watch more ads. just like womens magazines.
