  1. writing normally with a quill and ink with your left hand must have been a nightmare, i cant even do it with a modern pen that uses ink cartidges. i had to do it for 4 years in school before i was allowed to use a ballpoint pen and it hurt a lot. i still have calluses on my fingers 20 years later.
