  4.  @jhpfdijtuiweruot  Social media is more than just talking to people through forum posts. On social media, people post pictures and videos of themselves, under their real name, in order to gain followers and views and likes for imaginary internet clout. On youtube, I dont post any content, I just respond to forum threads, anonymously, without the goal of gaining imaginary internet clout. So for me, it doesnt qualify as social media. Its just a video streaming service with a forum function. By extension of your argument, netflix is social media because I can rate movies on there and other people can see the average rating.
