I liked the part where that ship only had 1 pilot and apparently no engine room, so killing the 1 pilot immediately caused the ship to start falling. I would also design my, presumably, trillion dollar spaceship, to have a single human point of failure. This is one of the dumbest movies Snyder ever made. And I watched Sucker Punch. At least that was enjoyable after half a bottle of whiskey and had some eye candy.

My brother actually thought it was Cillian Murphy until the guy took his hat off. I would kill for those cheekbones, damn.

That wasnt a reference to Chappie, its a robot from Warhammer 40K. In fact most of the references you mentioned are to W40K. Warcraft was originally a Warhammer fantasy game but Blizzard couldnt get the rights to the IP when they were mid way through development so they made some minor changes and changed the names of the factions.

@Szokynyovics Blade Runner 2040 something was cliche, boring, and very derivative. I will never understand why people hype movies like that. It had nice visuals, just like Rebel Moon, and thats it. Oh and Ryan Gosling cant act anymore. He forgot. Arrival was a weird remake of the (actually decent) movie Contact from 1997. I havent watched Annihilation, it doesnt seem appealing to me at all.

@DawnMayCry its still dumb that there is only 1 pilot and no one in the engine room

@connivingkhajiit the most stupid part was the revolution guy taking down an entire spaceship by stabbing the singular pilot (no copolit or anyone else in the cockpit) with a spear through vacuum-proof glass, and apparently this ship also dodnt have an engine room with anyone in it who could correct its course. that was some of the dumbest shit I've seen in 2023.

@DTTaTa the reason is they wanted to put more exposition in the movie. for some reason.

Nobody is going to see the next movie if the characters arent interesting in the first one. You cant just put 2 hours of bad "world building" in your first movie and then expect the IP to succeed. Thats why most succesful fantasy and sci fi books or movies start with a self-contained story that is character focused and then branch out from there. For example, the first book of wheel of time (dont watch the tv show) or the first star wars movie.

This movie even made Charlie Hunnam look like he cant act
