well the english shot themselves in the foot with brexit, i dont see any reason for NI and Scotland to choose the british union over the european union. we'll take you back, we still love you here on the continent, just without the english. irish, scots, welsh, we have no beef with any of you. this is the best chance any of you have had of getting out from under the english boot in centuries.

it is already ww3, with every western country sending weapons to ukraine. instead of fighting a proxy war with ukrainian volunteers, nato could send its own trained military forces and achieve the same objective with less loss of life.

there are already tens of millions of people at risk. it is open war. nato can either commit now or wait for russia to take ukraine and end up having to commit anyway, without ukraine on their side. of course they wont do it because of political reasons, but strategically it would be the better choice to do it now.

the darker side has been pretty obvious for the past 20 years mate, since some planes hit some towers in 2001 and US govt used it as a pretext to bomb half the middle east into oblivion. the illusion that the 21st century would be more peaceful than the 20th lasted about 1 year, 9 months and 11 days.

@מזרחים a lot of people in the west dont think like this. a former prime minister of the netherlands famously said, that its only okay to call hamas terrorists if you call israel terrorists in the same sentence. a lot of people dont agree with invasion of afghanistan and iraq either and didnt support bombing syria. but sadly, when USA tells our politicians in power, and our armies, to go somewhere, they follow without questioning it.

@vladimirviymuzikov8692 the residents are taking shelter from bombings by russian military, and russian troops have completely surrounded the city, not allowing any civilians to escape to other areas of ukraine. obviously, civilians will not voluntarily flee through these supposed corridors you mention, if they exist, which i highly doubt, because russian military has already shown many times they are willing to kill civilians to achieve their goals through indiscriminate bombing and even opening fire on protesters with their guns. if some other country invaded your country, and then offered you safe passage, but only into the territory they occupy, after killing several people you know, you wouldnt go either.

@vladimirviymuzikov8692 exactly, there are russian or russian allied troops in every direction on land and the russian navy controls the sea. therefore the city is surrounded and no one can leave without risking being killed by russian troops who have already killed thousands of civilians in the past week. calling ukrainians nazis doesnt change the facts on the ground. you can look up the live maps of the war on the internet, which use satellite tracking to monitor the russian troops. it clearly shows mariupol being surrounded. a corridor that goes straight through russian tanks and artillery isnt very humanitarian.

@vladimirviymuzikov8692 they are physically able to go. they just dont want to flee to russia while russian army is bombing their cities. ukraine army is not capable of stopping civilians from leaving. they would have already lost the war without all the volunteers fighting back against russian army. you can look up online all the videos of civilians telling russian soldiers to go back home, in every town and city they went into. ukrainian people dont seem to want to be "liberated".

@vladimirviymuzikov8692 the information war is mostly going on inside russia, with the authorities shutting down independent newspapers and radio stations. i have free internet access here and if anything is blocked i have a worldwide vpn so i can follow what is going on. there simply are no reports at all of ukrainian army harming civilians. and why would they? its their own country. over the past 8 years ukraine army may have killed some civilians in occupied regions donetsk and luhansk, which western media didnt bother to report on, but they certainly arent doing it outside those regions. even if they did kill civilians in donetsk or luhansk, thats only because the kremlin violated geneva conventions by meddling in an internal conflict, sending troops without insignia, with heavy vehicles and equipment, into those territories. need i remind you it was a russian BUK launcher operated by russian soldiers that shot down MH17 civilian aircraft and killed 150 people from my country? because i did not forget.

@vladimirviymuzikov8692 do you really believe that a man who himself has jewish ancestry would do such a thing or is it more likely to be russian state propaganda that has been circulated to create a justification for this war? there are far right militia groups in ukraine but i have not seen any evidence that zelensky supports them. most far right groups in europe are very much against the EU, just look at the current governments of poland or hungary or serbia, and AfD party in germany and FPO party in austria. but zelensky this week signed a petition to join EU. it doesnt make any sense that the ukrainian government would support that kind of groups. it does make sense for putin to say that it is happening to convince the russian public.

@vladimirviymuzikov8692 even the israeli government, which does commit atrocities on palestine, which are ironically extremely similar to what the nazis did to the jews, has condemned the actions of the russian state in this war.
