I had no idea this was so common in other countries. In the Netherlands around age 11 you have to take a bicycle driving test in school, but I thought it was only done here because everyone rides bikes all the time compared to other countries where it is less popular. The test is kind of a joke though, every kid already knows how to ride a bike and knows the traffic rules by age 6. I remember it as a fun day out from school and the instructors were very jolly. They of course did do their job seriously and you would get small points deduction for small mistakes like not raising your arm to indicate a turn or not knowing some obscure traffic rule about who has priority on an even crossing with a pedestrian on a tuesday in march when the moon is half full. But nobody failed.

 @michaelritzen8138 that happened a few years ago on a crossing I went across a thousand times, right beside a school. The municipality still hasn't changed anything. Someone should sue them.
