  13. Obviously the eating disorders and substance use are a problem. But they are a symptom of much deeper societal problems. Most young people now have grown up on social media, being neglected by their parents, not being taught critical thinking at home or in school, very prone to manipulation and advertising. You should see how crazy 8 year old kids are about paying 15 bucks for a can of Prime. And if their parents say no, they throw a tantrum. A lot of guys are also trying to become an instagram influencer and doing gear is an easy way to try and do that. Its basically a requirement at this point. One of the other major reason for this body dysmorphia is the dating culture. Its very hard as a young man to love yourself if you have never been loved by a woman. Its very easy to feel like youre not good enough and hop on gear to get attention from gym thots. It can take years to develop a physique that makes women notice you, naturally. 30 years ago this was completely different, I know a ton of married dudes in their 50s and 60s that are skinny af and look like theyve never lifted a weight in their ife. To do anything about those issues is going to take a whole lot more than telling boys and young men not to hop on gear because its bad for you. Its going to take serious social reforms as a result of mass political action. But the normies arent ready for that conversation yet. Theyre too busy complaining about the price of gasoline. Its now gotten to the point where I even catch myself thinking Im too fat because I dont have six pack abs year round, which is really only achievable with gear, because of how ubiquitous these unrealistic body standards are in media. I dont have instagram or other social media and Im a very critical person who analyzes and evaluates every decision. When I talk about it with my friends or when Im with a woman everybody tells me Im in great shape but I just feel fat anyway, just because I have a little bit of lower belly fat. Even though I know objectively my core strength is a lot better than most other guys who look bigger than me.
