I try to tell people as often as I can. The key to life is genuinely not caring what other people think. Not just pretending, really letting go of that. Just try to be as healthy as you want. Dont give a fuck about random peoples opinions. What are they gonna do? Think about you? Oh no.

Just on the internet. Have you ever actually asked a lady you were seeing what she likes in a mans physique? Most of em dont care about those huge muscles and abs and stuff, they just want a dude that looks like a dude, and sure its nice if you have a flat stomach and your shoulders are wider than your waistline, but it doesnt have to be extreme.

@GeriatricJerald yeah i got something to tell you, the sweating and tingling, that was the meth that the pre-workout was laced with. General advice since nobody asked: dont buy pre-workout, dont buy any protein mixes, just go to bulkpowders and get some whey protein, pea protein, whatever you fancy, and mix your own shakes. Its much cheaper and you will know what you are putting in your body.

Yoga is great. I started exercising a lot more a couple years ago and yoga kept me flexible when I got bigger. Id be a frikkin brick without that.

I mean, I just saw a cologne ad with Timothy Chalamet in it so clearly you dont have to be jacked to be considered an attractive actor. It just depends on who you ask, real women or gym bros. If you ask me, basing your male beauty standard on what other dudes say, is pretty gay.

Having stuff like a slim waistline, and a flat stomach, and visible shoulders that are wider than said waistline, helps. Beyond that, in my experience, the ladies dont care much how jacked you are. The face, well, I see plenty of goodlooking ladies with dudes that look like they tried to swallow a brick and it got stuck at the top of their throat, so that doesnt matter much either, I think you are just blaming your looks for the faults of your personality, because you dont want the problem to be something you can actually work on.

I have no idea what atheism+ is supposed to be, but yeah a lot of the fedora tipping atheists on the internet are annoying. Youre not supposed to base your entire identity around not being religious.

@shabba7829 Nope. In the 90s, most dudes really didnt care. People were busy partying and doing experimental drugs, and you could buy a house for 2 years salary and start a family before 30, nobody had time or want to obsess about their looks.

@amygdalae As long as the group of people you include are polite and intelligent people, you can talk about stuff and agree or disagree without losing group cohesion. The problems start when the "you are with me or you are against me" people get into the group and blow it up. This is why in ancient greece only landowners were allowed to participate in political debates.

@shabba7829 The attitude towards body image issues in the 90s is perfectly preserved in he movie Fight Club. There's a scene with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton on a train or a metro, there's a Calvin Klein underwear ad on the wall, Pitt looks at it and says "is that what a real man looks like?" I can also personally confirm to you that not everyone has body image issues. Because I dont have them. I know what I look like, and I'm fine with it. I'm not auditioning to be a male model. I am trying to lose a bit of weight for health reasons and to be more attractive to the fairer half of humanity, but I absolutely don't have insecurities about my looks these days. Used to, when I was younger. Now I look at old pictures and think, wow what a handsome young man. Definitely could've pulled more in college if I had a better mental state. I'm focusing on the mental battle, not the physical one. Peace.

@swancrunch Its not just marketing. Its social media. We used to have curated media. Magazines would write slop articles with pictures of actors, but we didnt have social media to inflate the standards and distort peoples perception of reality.

@GeriatricJerald Meth is incredibly cheap to produce. It's only expensive on the street because it's illegal. But the FDA doesn't check what people put in their protein shake recipes because their funding has been slashed by continuous administration's for decades and they can't even check all the products from reputable companies that are on shelves in grocery stores. They definitely don't have time to check supplements sold h random people on social media. so you can just put amphetamines in your pre workout without any risk of getting in legal trouble.

I thought I was in bad shape when I was younger, too skinny, now I look at old pictures and I think, wow, thats a handsome young man, if only I had a better mental state I wouldve done very well with the ladies in college. Thats the great thing about college chicks though, I keep getting older and they stay the same age.
