There is plenty HOAs and with that comes dues. And nosy neighbors. And limited interaction to younger generations. The ancient tribes had their villages. And granted, people want to be part of communities , by and large. At least in ancient native tribes kids lived amongst elders. This might work for people with money. For the rest of the 95 percentile , those ever increasing HOA dues are a drain in their household budget. I see how this might pick up in the Sun Belt States and in desert areas. The larger concern is ….Unless they fund every piece of infrastructure on their own nickel, they will be picking subsidies from Counties and States as usual. Which mean poor folk subsidizing well off folk quality of life.

@badkarma1289 they have guards and common grounds , you are paying condominium fees no matter how they are disguised. Unless they have retail paying rent to subsidize the ongoing maintenance costs. So there are HOAs.

And they call HOA dues Bondsout there. Different name , same thing.

@badkarma1289 from what I see , your village enjoys the same privileges as Disney World and other enclaves across Florida , all on exemptions. Which does no make it any whole. It’s basically poor folk property taxes subsidizing upper middle class folk dwelling life styles. Little wonder the country is going hell in a handbasket.
