There was some Brazilian dude bragging on how he paid USD 100,000 to bring one to Brazil. Some poser. BYD already bought Ford’s plant in Brasil, and occasionally I spotted a BYD here and there. Tesla , on the other hand , has no service centers, no charging stations ( which by the way are acutely sparse to virtually non existent ). So I take this rich dupe wanted peer approval. No one gave him a nod. And he will have a target on his back. Folks out here who consider electric will buy an hybrid to be on the safe side. And will pay through their noses.

There are Green buses. They are called trams or trolleys. We had them in São Paulo, Brazil for ages. They run off the overhanging wire. On occasion they stall and the driver steps out to a quick adjustment , and then back on his seat. These are main lines drawing lots of passengers through the itinerary. The secondary bus lines ride on a diesel bus. BEVs for buses might not be so bad , fuel costs are a huge consideration in their budget , and they can afford to plant rechargers in their depot garages. BYD , before purchasing the last active Ford Motors Plant in Camaçari -BA , had or has a plant on Campinas -SP, mostly for fleet vehicles. Fee operated BEVs make sense. For the consumer market , it far from being a viable option.

Oops. He is a day too late. Dolphins were spared when commercial Tuna Fishermen in the Pacific Coast were banned from using fine meshing nets pulled from a trawler . Which drove fishermen towards rod fishing. Which does a damage on fishermen’s back. I personally knew one who moved back to New Bedford , MA that became confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. A lot of the caneries were based in San Jose , CA. Which has now become a tech hub. The city has a large Portuguese settlement , whom it worked in the fishing trawlers and caneries. So most of them made out ok, as they bought land with their savings. If you used my argument to your simpleton neighbor , you deservedly will humiliate him, by calling an idiot without argumentative facts.
