How disgusting is that?! "How should we solve this?" "I got it! Let's hurt them!" "That'll teach those assholes to try and survive NY winters!" Hey btw fun fact, NY in the winter is colder than Alaska in the winter. I would know, I grew up in NY and now live in Alaska. Sure here it gets to -55F but there is a lot less wind and humidity in the air here than in NY. Let that sink in for a moment. NY is colder than Alaska, yet they make it harder for people like this to stay alive. That should be enough proof that if you don't participate in the system, they don't care about your life. I've met plenty of people that can afford their own homes, yet they're monsters. Homeless people aren't worthless. They're people. You can tell a lot about a society by how they treat they're weak, and defenseless. We will be a symbol of embarrassment for those that judge us in the future.

@moderneinstein2644 NY has more wind and more humidity and in the atmosphere. The temperature does not get as low, but it is still colder with these additional variables. However, when the wind blows at -50 below in AK, no one is outside for long. But the air is still dryer in Alaska so it's still not as cold.

@moderneinstein2644 no, not that it could, it indeed does. I'm also not implying anything, I'm relaying temperature as humans perceive it.

@Ekkaisara sure, but this is not where I intended for this to lead conversation wise. This is about the national housing crisis and how we treat those that we deem unworthy of basic necessities. The fact that it gets colder in NY than Alaska should really help broaden people's minds to just how wrong it is to rid homeless people of heating vents. If we don't want to see homeless, it's simply a matter of providing housing, not pain.
