And here we go again...as soon as something critical about China is being reported, someone immediately comes along and claims the same thing happened in the US...first of all, if true, was that over a quarter of a century agao...and second...could you give me a verifiable source for your claim.

@Maletearsasoil You mean this third world country that has the largest economy in the world...for decades? With a GDP of roughly 29 trillion dollars? And a GDP per capita of 85.500 dollar? Instead of China's GDP per capita of 12.700 dollar? Even if this number was certainly extremly inflated by the CCP. And all other G7 countries outhshine China by far as well.

@shaddapforever Indeed...one can sometimes complain about the EU's obsession with regulations...but we can enjoy food and drinks without having to think about the fact that you are consuming half a truckload of heavy metals or battery acid.

@tomaccino Since I am European, I guess I do not need to eat that...and I do not go to Mc Donalds anyway. Nevertheless, food regulations in both the EU and the US are much stricter than in China...there are more than enough reports of gutter oil being used as cooking oil in China...or that there is no real food safety in China that comes even close to the EU or US...there is not even clean and drinkable tap water for all citizens...access to clean and drinkable water is, by the way, a measure of a country's level of development. You can draw your own conclusions from that.
