It is not really a hate speech law It is an anti speech law Because it says the person doesn't have to intend to cause hate Nor say things with hate feelings Nor have to have caused hate in another So how is this a hate speech law? And the criteria of breaking the law is 100% up to the police and what they feel like... So anti speech law, not hate speech law

  2. The problem is that the law is intentionally not clear and gives the police the right to determine what speech is allowed. It is not like theft which is clear: Is it yours? - no Did you get permission to take it - no Did you take it - yes You are guilty of theft. This law is: Did you say something - yes Is it allowed? The police will decide But no one tells you ahead of time what is allowed and what isn't The SNP minister made it clear you are allowed to support Hamas, call for the annihilation of another country and carry a swastika But might not be allowed to say women don't have penises... But you maybe allowed, police will tell you at the time they decide what the law is.
