As to the numbers of casualties, Hamas didn't say how many are combatants, that is because 90% - 95% are combatants In a war, one side loses, the other wins. One side has more casualties than the other. All the civilian casualties are huge tragedies which need to be stopped. The combatants deaths are simply a horrid part of war. There is no reason on earth to limit the winning side from stopping combatants as long as there is no torture or hurting unarmed. If Hamas want to stop the war, give back the hostages, wave a white flag and stop firing rockets. Easy. But they don't. Everyone else in the world wants a ceasefire But Palestine and Israel don't seem to want one.

Because islam has only been around 1,400 years Jews can prove they have been living in Israel for 3,500 years Palestinian say they were there before. What exactly was their religion? And no, pagan is not enough, what was it, who were their Gods, who were their leaders? What were their holidays? Why can Israel show 3,500 consistent rich evidence of a history of a people living in Israel, supported strongly by archeological findings, yet, Palestine has nothing except being Muslim. What happened before islam? And if they can't tell you what happened 1,500 ago, how can they tell you what happened 3,500 years ago? The most they can do is point at the JEWISH bible, and name unrelated people and it is them (with zero proof, no cultural story to explain the development of their people, no archeological evidence, just random inconsistent pointing at someone else's bible) Where is the "Palestinian" history? Who was their leader 1500 years ago? And 2000 years ago? What are their traditions from 3,500 years ago? Jews have many, where are the "Palestinian traditions"? What is their history beyond islam?
