SO true.😞

😢You put it so clearly. I am always arguing with those morons who say the CO2 will increase food crops. I try telling them that when CO2 was high in Earth's history the plants didn't even have flat leaves, and they didn't produce fruits, but they adamantly refuse to learn anything.

What is truly absurd is implying that habitat preservation is more crucial than ceasing fossil fuels and pulling CO2 from the atmosphere! That would save by far the most habitat.

You said it! I faced the reality of climate change while watching a documentary in 1987. It's been a long slow landslide of horror for me since then. The arguments I've had at the TV and with other people, futilely endeavouring to get them to face glaring facts...

 @gnubbiersh647 There are many kinds of green batteries that don't use cobalt or other rare minerals, and solar, wind battery arrays are by FAR the cheapest and most reliable form of energy these days. You are SO out of date.

Wow, she does sound quite self absorbed, really. I'm 56, and I reckon she ought to have been more responsible toward her children's future welfare.

 @gnubbiersh647 Green energy is the cheapest energy available by far, AND the most reliable. You are SO out of date.

 @randomthings1293 Unless we find a way to successfully pull CO2 out of the atmosphere and sequester it safely and permanently, that is.

I don't see why taking action on a solution requires stopping dialogue about the problem. Calculations have been done (by scientists led by Professor Tom Crowther of Swiss University ETH Zurich) that show that by replanting trees on all the land that is not currently used for agriculture or urban living space, yet planting some trees on grazing land, around one third of the excess CO2 in the atmosphere could be sequestered within 50-100 years. That is the cheapest and most effective solution science and humanity has come up with, actually. Yet we would still have to stop pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere, which requires us to stop using fossil fuels, ASAP. @norah3220Â

 @yudeetube8001 The only five who have really tried in America are Al Gore, John Kerry, Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Joe Biden.

Me too, or Texas.

They will employ private armies.

 @gnubbiersh647 Who'll do that? God? 😂

 @gnubbiersh647 According to the International Energy Agency, Africa has 60% of the world's best solar resources, and as it is the cheapest and quickest to install, it has the most potential to raise the economic quality of life of African people. I'm telling you this because you are spreading misinformation about green energy being "more expensive." That is absolutely false, and outdated.

 @gnubbiersh647 Their BEST HOPE of climbing out of poverty is SOLAR ENERGY. LET THAT SINK IN.

 @gnubbiersh647 The World Economic Forum; the International Energy Agency; Global Solar Atlas, The World Bank; and Statista, the statistics specialists.

 @IanChristopherson-t9v Well, seeing as nearly all the world's people place climate change near the top of the list of urgent problems we need to address, socialism would give us all a better chance to survive. We would't have corrupt fossil fuel owning politicians like Joe Manchin in the US, and Matt Canovan of Queensland sabotaging attempts to deal with climate change in the face of what the population wants!

Yes, burning, droughts, storms. For centuries to come.

Of course the solutions already exist, all that is needed is for the world's governments to stop cynically subsidising fossil fuels to the tune of $US 1 TRILLION annually (2022 figures), and use that stupendous amount of money to fund the rapid transition to renewable energy generation, storage and grids, rather than for propping up the profits of the insatiably greedy fossil fuel billionaires who are giving them donations, and KILLING US. Wake up. @sedonars1Â

 @globalwarming382 Grow up.
1
 @davidhunternyc1 Trump and his acolytes don't even accept the reality of climate change, so your "hence" is not relevant.

In the times when the world may have been hotter, plants were not like they were today. They didn't have soft leaves, nor did they fruit.

 @globalwarming382 He's talking about "trickle down."
