I think it is because they want a port to facilitate the building of a permanent port so that they can move the gas that Netanyahu illegally sold off in an auction at the beginning of the genocide. You need to look into the problems they have had at sending the gas via their other routes from the Israeli ports. Look into it. Other countries have disputed Israel's proposed shipping lanes from their Israeli ports, and if the gas went from Gaza it would bypass those disputed waters.That gas will be going into Europe, not to Israel. I think the rest of your argument definitely holds water, though.

  42. Today I found out that the "state" of "Israel" is not even a legally created state. When it was "created" in 1948, it was by a non-legally-binding resolution in the UN General Assembly! The UK abstained. So whenever the US veto woman claims some UNGA decision or other on Palestine is "non-binding," people should remind her that the creation of Israel has no basis in law whatsoever.

  50.  @michaelt8388  What do you mean by "self orbiting" satellites? I've seen satellite data where you can look to see where marijuana bushes are being grown in the Australian bush. I'd think those type of satellites could see whether people were being ethnically cleansed, or where mass graves are located. They use satellites to locate the ancient, overgrown foundations of ruins in the Amazon jungle. Surely they can see what is going on above ground in Gaza. Or does no-one with satellite data access want to look? That's what I suspect.
