@annmarieflynn1271 They are charging him for a number of crimes that individually led up to the insurrection. Furthermore, a case is being built by legal scholars (some of them Republicans) to show that Trump is ineligible to run for political office due to his role in inciting insurrection, based on the Constitution.

@timothyburkhart185 I think the 2 BILLION dollar deal Trump's son-in-law and daughter got from the Saudi crown prince (a close ally of the Trump administration) despite advisors to the fund advising the prince against it, is a far, far more corrupt affair.
