  1. Sure, there will be a population collapse, and towns will become ghost towns, but that's actually a GOOD THING. With the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere now, and by then at the rate we're going, we have to draw CO2 OUT of the atmosphere to bring global temperatures down. The best means found yet to do that is by increasing forest cover, by far. In the grand scheme of humanity's survival, population collapse is our greatest chance to survive.
