Even though, like in Germany, the main media outlets in Israel are not showing the atrocities being done, in Israel today everyone has access to the internet, and specifically YouTube, where all of them could easily see the truth. That didn't exist in Hitler's Germany; there, all free media was eliminated very early. As most of the exterminations were done in Poland (deliberately, to hide the horror) most Germans did not know about them, although they did know about forced labour camps that existed within Germany.
