  1. Sometimes abusive parents pick just one child to abuse way, way more than the others. Then it really hurts when the siblings who were right there deny that the abuse ever happened, just because it didn't happen to them personally. Or they minimise what happened to you, because they weren't abused much at all themselves. That really hurts, because they should be allies, but they side with the perpetrator/s. In such cases even those who should provide emotional support the most actually become gaslighting abusers themselves. And I agree with you - nobody cares to listen, and therapists (except for volunteers) see you as but a cash cow.
