The complete opposite happened to me. I cut out all oils and fats and animal foods, and ate more fruit, vegetables, lentils and All Bran, and I consequently lost abdominal fat quickly, and markedly increased my running stamina in a matter of two weeks, even though I'd been a runner for several decades. I was AMAZED at the effortless improvement! These improvements occurred even though I had eaten meat only rarely, for years.

His diet would easily meet the recommended dietary protein requirements. protein doesn't only come fro animal foods. Where do you suppose a gorilla gets his protein?

There is a video here on Zoe that goes into that question in the most scientific detail I have ever heard.

@Shanil291 I actually interpreted the comment as sarcasm targeted at the unscientific nature of personal anecdotes (in the specific case, the anti-veggie comment of sinisterpigeonboy). Funny how we interpreted it differently. But perhaps you're right.

Well, whether you feel like that or not doesn't militate the fact that high animal protein diets cause heart disease and cancer. But I concede that some people have a high hunger for protein and that unless they assuage it they will go on eating until they do. There are foods like textured vegetable protein that are even higher in protein than beef, yet have no saturated fat, which obviates the need for animal protein altogether for people with high protein hunger. @M_SC

This is NOT a good diet if you are obese or overweight already and need to lose visceral fat around your organs, which is a dreadful health risk. There is no need to have full fat yoghurt, low fat is just as good, and there is no need to put extra olive oil with your avocado sandwich, nor is it necessary to cook with oil; but I certainly approve of his 4 Key Tips at the end! Excellent advice!
