Dear CJ, this explains a lot to me: Why the Gray Zone seemed to care about human rights in Israel, but not in Ukraine, always judged Netanyahu as a war criminal, but ran cover for Putin's war crimes. I always suspected they were paid by Russia. Nobody could be that morally inconsistent without corruption and bribery being involved. I was shocked, also, at Richard Medhurst's most recent videos, in which he called into question whether Assad was actually bad for Syrians at all. Whether the new government is going to be much better for Syrians, though, remains to be seen, with Jolani announcing women must cover their heads, and travel only with male family members, or to stay at home. Let's hope for the best, and hope the situation doesn't deteriorate into sharia law.

@shazzadhasan4885 By not being a braindead, propaganda-gobbling idiot. Genocide is genocide, war crimes are war crimes. Putin bombs hospitals and schools and playgrounds, and children sheltering in buildings with a sign, "CHILDREN" written in stones on the ground to identify that hundreds of children are sheltering there, and refugees on train platforms, trying to flee, too. And I remember the scenes of torture in Bucha, and the massacres and child-stealing, and razing of Mariupol to rubble, burying people alive, just like Netanyahu does. Netanyahu and Putin both assassinate their rivals, and invade their neighbours to steal land. They are like genocidal identical twins, actually.

@AGlimpseofTruth-D10 Wow. Thanks for that info. The scales have been torn from my eyes, about him. And on another note, Medhurst demeanour sometimes subtly struck me as preening and vain, always adjusting that keffiyeh, like he was drawing attention to a prop. It's a minor thing, but it always struck me, on an almost subconscious level, as not being genuine. C.J Werleman, conversely, always comes across as burning with righteousness for justice, and human rights for all people.
